3. There is a retired milk truck driver who has been eating one or two Twinkies a day for 64 years over 22,000 Twinkies. And wait till you hear about the 32-year old Twinkie.
"It's brittle."

"They are wonderful in the freezer."
4. The Twinkie was born in 1930 named after a billboard advertising twinkle-toed shoes. Take a bite of nostalgia.
"I used to take them from my mother's cabinet and, like, run around the corner and eat them so she wouldn't know until she came home and counted them."
5. Among those who have paid homage to the Twinkie, photographers in Pittsburgh created photos ranging from "Stonehenge Twinkie" to "She's having a Twinkie" to "The Last Snack" where the Twinkie gets the place of honor.
6. The snack made legal history. One journalist coined the term "Twinkie defense," after the man who murdered San Francisco's mayor and a supervisor claimed binging on junk food worsened his depression.
7. There were 60 entries at the Golden Twinkie award. Among them, the list of things you can't do with a Twinkie.
"Number 41, Twinkies make poor door stops."
"Twinkies don't make good wind chimes."

2. 조그만 트윈키 케익 위에 일흔 다섯 개의 초를 꽂기가 무지 힘듭니다. 물론 불량식품이라는 비난도 받지만 빌 클린턴 전 대통령이 "밀레니엄 타임캡슐"을 봉인했을 때 그 안엔 <트윈키>가 들어있었습니다.
3. 64년간 하루에 한 두 개를 먹어 평생 2만 2천개의 트윈키를 먹었다는 전직 우유 배달부도 있을 정돕니다. 바싹 말라서 부서지는 32년된 트윈키도 있습니다. 할머니는 냉장고에 보관하면 괜찮다고 말합니다.
4. 1930년에 탄생한 트윈키는 끝이 반짝거리는 신발의 광고 문구에서 나온 이름입니다. 미국인들은 한 입 베어물고 향수에 젖습니다. "엄마 서랍에서 꺼내서 몰래 구석에서 먹던 기억이 나는군요."

7. 트윈키 50주년 시상식 때 응모된 총 60 편의 응모작 중에는 <트윈키로 할 수 없는 것들>이란 작품이 있었습니다. 물론 "트윈키로 문을 괴어놓거나, 윈드차임으로 사용할 수 없는" 건 당연합니다.
