1. Hollywood's award season is over. It's time for the stars to put away the fancy clothes and borrowed diamonds and get off the red carpet. And while the award season is over, the public's appetite for celebrities never goes away. So there are some familiar looking people trying to fill the void. Mat Moore takes a look inside the world of celebrity impersonators.

2.The inimatable Frank Sinatra, the voice, 'Old Blue Eyes' himself. He is a hard actor to follow even for an accomplished impersonator.
Steven Triffitt plays Frank in West End musical, the Rat Pack, and he loves his job.

"It's better than any other job I can think of. I can't imagine going back to what you might call a normal life now. And a lot of people say it as "you just work two and a half hours a day." And, but it is a little bit more than that because this sort of the pressure and stress of singing Sinatra is nothing like performing to a live audience. "
3. So it's not just a matter of showing up and getting paid. Getting the character right requires real work.
4. Beautiful maybe. But movie star Johnny Depp's latest role is a bit of a come down. Appearing at a party for a firm of accountants. His co-star tonight is movie legend Marilyn Monroe. The celebrity look-alikes' world is a surreal one.

5. They charge in the hundreds, not millions of dollars for an appearance. But if you are in demand, you can still make a very good living.

"It's very much dependent on the character that you do. So if you are asking me, it's a great one. She is a legend. So you are always booked as Marilyn."
6. A Johnny Depp look-alike, too, is a big hit with the crowd. Camella Messy is pleased to have left a life of odd jobs and temping behind him.
7.But finding work can be tricky. Sending your photo to an agent can be an invaluable first step. Clark Gable look-alike Gene Daily has been in the business 25 years. And as an agent, has this advice.

"What I am looking for is the ability to translate the character. It's sort of like arm's length theater. You have to create the character, one from another person, and convey the essence of what they wanna see from what you see on their face. A good look-alike who markets well and is popular, you can range it in dollars from 35, 40 thousand to the sky is the limit."
8. So the financial awards are there for the lucky few so long as they can convince the public. Mat Moore, CNN, London.

3. 단지 얼굴만 비추고 돈을 받는 게 전부는 아닙니다. 캐릭터를 제대로 보여주기 위해서는 상당한 노력이 수반돼야 합니다.
4. 이 '조니 뎁' 전문 모사 배우는 오늘 '캐리비안의 해적'에서의 해적 분장을 하고, 회계사들이 모인 한 파티장으로 들어 섭니다. 전설적 여배우 마를린 먼로도 이 자리에 동석했습니다. 모사 배우의 세계는 현실을 초월해 있습니다.
5. 한 번 섭외에 수 백만달러가 아닌 몇 백 달러 정도를 받지만, 인기가 좋을 경우 꽤 짭짤한 수입을 올릴 수 있습니다.

" 캐릭터를 살리는 능력이 가장 중요합니다. 모사는 연극 무대에 서는 것과 같아서, 관객 바로 앞에서 캐릭터를 만들어 내고 관객들이 기대하는 이미지를 전달할 수 있어야 성공합니다. 인기가 있고 홍보가 잘되는 모사 배우들의 경우, 3 ~ 4만 달러에서 그 이상도 벌 수 있습니다. "
8. 다시 말해 관객의 호응을 얻을 수 있다면, 가짜 배우도 진짜 부럽지 않은 인기와 수입을 얻을 수 있다는 겁니다.
