1. A British High Court has upheld a ruling against the parents of a terminally ill infant. They had wanted the court to force hospital official to resuscitate the baby if she stops breathing. But as Shirley Gosh tells us the judge did leave the door open for appeals.

2. Heart breaking video shows Baby Charlotte in the hospital she's never left. She spends most of her time in an oxygen tent and according to doctors suffers nothing but pain. But her parents believe she is improving and deserves to live.
3. Darren Wyatt and his wife Debbie were back at court today to fight a previous order allowing doctors to refuse to aggressively treat Charlotte if she stops breathing. It was a battle they lost. But the judge said the order wasn't final and will be reviewed later this year.

"The judge was clearly concerned about the uncertainty of Charlotte's future. He ordered that the case be kept under review and allowed Darren and Debbie to appeal to the court of appeal which is something they greatly welcome."
4. Charlotte was born prematurely at 26 weeks weighing just 1 pound. She had severe brain, heart, and lung damage and doctors said she was unlikely to survive for long. But against expectation, she is now 18-months-old, loved by her whole family who desperately want only the best for her. But she's still in hospital. Her brain hasn't developed and her respiratory disease is still expected to be fatal. She is still, said the judge, a terminally ill child.

"Mr. Justice Hedley's ruling today has again endorsed of our pediatricians that it would not be in Charlotte's best interests to die in the course of futile aggressive treatment. The ruling today will ensure that Charlotte continues to receive the highest quality of treatment without causing her suffering to worsen."
5. The battle for Charlotte's survival put her parents at loggerheads with her doctors. Her tiny life has been out of their hands from almost the very first. But they will fight on. Shirley Gosh, ITV News.

3. 부부는 오늘 고등법원에 출두해서, 병원측의 적극적인 생명연장 수단 이용 반대에 손을 들어줬던 하급심 판결이 뒤집히기를 바랬습니다. 비록 다시 패소했지만, 재판부는 올해 말 다시 이 사안을 검토하기로 결정했습니다.

5. 샬롯의 생명을 두고, 부모와 의료진은 법적 공방까지 가야 했습니다. 태어나면서부터 샬롯의 부모를 아이의 생명에 대해 어떠한 선택도 할 수 없는 상황이었지만, 부모들은 아이를 위해 끝까지 싸우겠다는 입장입니다.
